Its been a very long time since our Squadron had a JN Class

and here are some pictures of the class taking sun sights..

A special thanks goes out to Bill Myers for assisting our class.

(Bill is wearing a brown hat in the pictures below.)

7:45 am this was the earliest class the Squadron has ever held!

Randy Wolf is getting his lower limb sun sights

and Dave Meloney is recording the time and angle for Randy.

Now Sally Ewing and Mark Hazlett join Randy Wolf

and get their sights too.

This is Sandy Beach on the east side of Oahu looking east at the horizon.

From right to left Don Sanders, John Douglas, Bill Myers, Jeff Moore,

Randy Wolf, Jim Ewing, Bob and Barbara Leeper,

Scudder Briggs and Dave Meloney.

Bill Myers gets demonstrates how to get a sun sight.

From left to right: Jeff Moore records for John Douglas while

Don Sanders and Mark Hazlett get some pointers from Bill Myers

Dave Meloney records the exact time for Scudder Briggs

 when Scudder says "Mark"

John Douglas and Jeff Moore team up to get a series

of upper and lower sun sights.

Jim and Sally Ewing are the first team to get the early sights completed.

What a beautiful day!

but kind of hot because the trade winds where not blowing.

Andy Araojo (to the right of Jeff and John)

came down to see what our class was up to.

Sally is getting her final sights and in case your not familiar with

this location its just north the blow hole on Oahu you can almost

see the blow hole just over the white car parked in the background.

From the left Mark Hazlett, Don Sanders, John Douglas,

Andy Araojo and Jeff Moore finish up their last sun sights.

Koko Crater is in the background and Koko Head is in the far left background.
